On the whole, I enjoyed myself even though my meal was not the way I wanted it to be. This must have been an off day for the cook; because usually I don’t have a problem the way my meal is prepared. With that being said, I consider this Applebee’s location a restaurant you would want to patronize. The location is great, the menu has something for everyone, and you get great value for your dollar. Plus the atmosphere is nice and the food is great; Applebee’s is my kind of place to dine on a dime.
My conclusion style the synthesize, I chose this type of conclusion because it shows a brief summary of my paper’s main points. Using this style of conclusion shows the reader the points I made and the support and examples fit together.
My Last Meal
I would like my last meal to be a juicy porter house steak with mild Cajun seasoning; cooked medium rare with sautéed onions and mushrooms smothered on top. The pan still sizzling with the steam rising with the aroma makes my taste buds dance in my mouth. I would also like two tender Main lobster tails split; with a half-pound of steamed snow crab legs and melted butter on the side for the dipping of the lobster tails and crab legs. I’d like two lemons on the side to squeeze the juice in the melted butter for a kick. I would also have lobster mashed potatoes, perfectly steamed broccoli that have a light crunch when I bite into it, along with soft wheat diner roll and soft honey butter to spread on top of the diner roll. Now, for desert I would have a large slice of mouthwatering double chocolate coco scented Carmel cake and a large glass of ice cold Pepsi.
I choose this meal because I love steak and seafood and with this being my last would get them both. The choice of foods I choose has no specific culture in mind, with my food culture itself being soul food. But then I also grew up on steak and seafood, as well.
Many people assume that if you have been to one supermarket you have been to them all, but the location, specialty section/item as well as the service and web site of these two stores. Des Peres “The Market and Schnucks “Market Place” Richmond Heights, offer a similar, yet different view. Both supermarkets carry our everyday staples like paper towels, soap, dish detergent and other household items.
Shopping at Aldis’ is something I do on a regular basis. I like the Maplewood location. Between Big Bend and Hanley, parking is plenteous.
I shop at Aldis’ because of the low prices compared to Schnucks and Dierbergs. They offer a wide variety of products fresh produce, fresh meat at low prices. They carry a large selection of canned goods, and dry goods. Aldis even sale award winning wines and beer. Let not forget the everyday staples; they even have a specialty section. That has some of everything in it from house hold tools to vacuum cleaners.
I enjoy friendly conversation with the employees, and they are very helpful. Even if it is only a hand full. Based on my observation, I noticed that Aldis only have four checkout lanes. That mean it is only for employees plus the stock person. Usually all the lanes are not open; unless they get crowed or backed up. The store was designed in a box style. A person enters the store, keep straight then turn left. Keep straight then turn left, they are back at the front. Of course, the store has some middle lanes.
I attended Queen Victoria’s eighty-fifth birthday dinner that is Queen Victoria Gates, my grandmother. My Aunt Helen, Aunt Ruthie, and Aunt Francis decided to have a birthday dinner March 22, 1990 for my grandmother’s birthday, which, was March 19 1990, and she turned eighty five years old. It was a memorable dinner for my grandmother as well as everyone else. It was not a surprise, because they knew they would not be able to keep it a secret from her. Grandma thought it was going to be a simple dinner, boy, was she in for a surprise, it was huge!
